Education has seen changes over the years and over the centuries but the basic ethos of education has always been the same -self emancipation. In more recent times education has in many ways become synonymous with progress, and it has often been the catalyst where development is concerned. Whatever be the case, education has come to be accepted as indispensable and integral in today's world of technological expertise. In fact it is only education that will prove the test of time in the way it can sustain the threats that face it from a world that seems to be losing its values. Only genuine efforts at developing and promoting education can build a society that move on with treasured values. It is therefore a noble venture by the KiiT society to add to quality education with this new international school, KiiT IS.

Mr. Sanjay Kumar Suar

The Principal's Profile

Sanjay Suar has been a popular physics teacher in Bhubaneswar over twelve years, teaching classes in different institutions as well as individuals and groups. He has taught in residential and non-residential, in secondary and higher secondary English-medium schools.

Before joining KiiT International School Mr Suar was Principal-in-charge of DAV Public School, Kalinganagar. During the same period he also continued to teach Post Graduate classes of Physics in the nationally renowned DAV Public School, Chandrashekarpur.
He particularly proved himself by motivating his students to get the splendid results they consistently did in the various examinations they appeared for, especially in the CBSE.
He has also had a successful run of teaching in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan and in schools of the DAV group. He was given the prestigious Teacher of the Year award by the DAV School several times.

Mr Suar's flair for science and his ability to transform difficult scientific concepts into learner-friendly modules has encouraged his students to approach science with enthusiasm and success. However, his involvement with young people has gone beyond science. He has taken a keen interest in encouraging students to get involved in co-curricular activities like debates, public speaking and presentations. In fact, at university, state and national levels he himself has received awards for best speeches, presentations, exhibitions and seminars conducted.

Physics, however, is really his passion. In addition to being a National scholarship holder and to having accreditations from the Department of Science and Technological Education he still continues to be the joint secretary of the Indian Association of Physics Teachers, RC-16. Currently too he is in charge of training the students who appear at National & International Physics Olympiads held in Bhubaneswar and continues to teach physics in other campuses of KIIT.

Though unassuming in his style, Mr Suar reaches out to his students by his engaging ways and by the student-friendly packages of learning he offers them. His inexhaustible interest in the world of science is infectious, and because he leads by example his students find him to be a role model who inspires learning and confidence.

Mr Suar really wants his students to value learning and to use knowledge to transform their lives and the lives of those they will influence. He sets the example by his dedication and hard work, and hopes that his sincerity of purpose and his own high standards will rub off on his students. He also believes that science can change our developing world into a haven of peace, harmony and prosperity.
