Administrative Officer

Cdr Surendra Nath Mohanty is a retired officer from the Indian Navy, where he served for 20 years in the Executive branch. He held several important and responsible posts, which include Executive Officer of two ships, Commanding Officer of a missile vessel and Administrative Officer of College of Naval Warfare at Mumbai.

He is a graduate from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has an MBA (HRD) from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. After completing his MBA in 1999, he did a two-year stint as the Manager HRD of the Naval Dockyard, Mumbai.

Before joining KiiT International School, he worked for seven years as the Administrative Manager of The Indian High School, Dubai, in the UAE which has student strength of above 9000. He was instrumental in facilitating ISO 9001 certification for the school.

He has done a two-year correspondence course in creative writing, from Writers’ Bureau, UK and has published several articles and short stories in magazines and periodicals. His other interests include horse-riding and polo.
