Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology
Society (KIIT) had humble beginnings as an Industrial
Training Institute in 1992. Within a short span of time
it has established itself as a centre of excellence in
the field of technical and management education. KIIT
today offers Undergraduate programme in Technology and
Postgraduate programmes in Technology, Management and
Computer Applications, Diplomas and Certificates in Engineering
and Science. More than 9500 students are enrolled onto
these courses, which are offered from ten sprawling wireless-linked
campuses located in an area of over 200 acres. Pradyumna
Bal Memorial Hospital, a 500-bed super-specialty hospital,
under KIIT society, provides health care to the students
and staff of all these institutions.
KIIT, which has the distinction of being
the youngest institution in India to be accorded University
status (U/S 3 of UGC Act 1956), has University campuses
in Bangalore, Pune and Delhi, which give it a national
character. KiiT International School, located in Bhubaneswar,
serves as a beacon of educational excellence to the wider
world and adds an international dimension to the institute’s
record of excellent service in the cause of education.
