In the
prevailing scenario, school education has become
very important. Unless and until the quality of
education at the school-level is improved, it is
foolish to expect quality education in higher
education. After achieving many successes in
professional education, we have taken a new
initiative to set up one school of international
standard. KiiT International School, under the KIIT
Group of Institutions, will definitely be one of the
best in the coming days and students will benefit
from it. |

A warm
welcome to KiiT International School!
KiiT
International School was established to fill the
absence of an international school in Eastern India.
In the preceding years, we have worked hard to give
it a truly international character. The school is
already offering the IGCSE from Cambridge and is now
an IB World School, authorized by the International
Baccalaureate Organization, Geneva, to teach the
IB's prestigious Diploma Programme from 2011. CBSE
is offered as the national curriculum.
KiiT International School respects cultures and religions
of different nationalities, exuding an international
ethos on its campus. Using the latest teaching
methods, maintaining a low teacher-student ratio and
emphasizing close relationships between teachers and
students, all help students make the best of either
curriculum - national or international. The pedagogy
of the school, imparted by experienced teachers from
different parts of the world, fosters creative
thinking and problem solving abilities. However, the
focus of KiiT International School goes beyond
developing core academic competencies. It uniquely
integrates ethical values in the curriculum to help
children explore and internalize the virtues of
truth, righteous conduct, love, freedom,
non-violence and peace. The alumni of KiiT
International School will be global citizens -
academically excellent and socially concerned. |

Gandhiji
said: “I do not want my house to be walled in on all
sides and my windows to be stuffed. I want the
cultures of all lands to be blown about my house as
freely as possible. But I refuse to be blown off my
feet by any of them”.
This philosophy sums up
what KiiT International School is all about. While we
recognize the realities of an increasingly
interconnected world and the opportunities that it
brings, we also acknowledge that not all these
influences may be what we want for our children. How
then do we navigate between these two extremes? How
are our children going to decide what to accept and
what to reject in their future?
Together, the IB Diploma Programme and the IGCSE offer young men and women the chance to challenge themselves like they never have been challenged before. The balance of academic rigour, reflective thinking, and a purposeful sharing in the concerns of others around them, make the IBDP and the IGCSE the most highly regarded international programmes in the world. The prestigious IB Diploma, which begins in 2011, will allow our students access to the finest universities in India and around the world.
I invite students and parents to visit the school or
the website to learn more about these international
education programmes which are truly life changing.

In recent years, the focus of
education has shifted to the process of learning.
Student-centred education has learner-based
activities and responsibility at its heart. This is
in contrast to the stronger emphasis on teacher
control found in the more conventional teaching
practices. Research proves that a student-centric
classroom can improve both learning and examination
result. It promotes autonomy in the classroom, so
that students are able to take responsibility for
their work, and play an active role in their
development. At KiiT International School the IGCSE
curriculum is taught with a 'student-centred'
approach which puts the learner at the heart of
learning process. |

Education is the greatest gift of
the Almighty to mankind. It has been serving as a
fulcrum of civilization over the ages, and has
witnessed a series of unending experiments. The
basic ethos of education has been the same – self
emancipation. In recent times, education has become
synonymous with human progress. The role of
education is nothing less than that of a catalyst.
As a harbinger of a sequel of technocratic
revolutions, education has proven its stature as
indispensable and second to none. In the early part
of the twenty-first century, it seems as if
education is going to face numerous challenges both
from internal and external agencies. The upcoming
threats are also knocking at the doorsteps of a
value-ridden society. The turpitude in moral-base
will no doubt cost dearly for the sustainability of
the establishment of the intellectual society. But,
the ray of hope lies only in education. The teachers
and the school need to determine the correlation
between education design and delivery and student
learning which can be used as a critical management
tool for progressive learning. Its role is going to
be immense in the coming days to sort out all the
problems and to carve out a newer and better
solution which will fit everyone's need. Tomorrow
will see a sea-change in the approaches and
modalities of imparting education and the same with
its acceptance. The world is rightfully preparing
itself for a big change. Are you ready? I'm
extremely grateful to the KIIT society for
developing this quality international school. |

All-round and holistic
development of a child cannot be achieved within the
four walls of the classroom. We at KiiT
International take our students beyond their books,
even beyond the boundaries of the country, with the
singular aim of making them the global citizens of
tomorrow. We consider education a serious task that
needs our undivided attention 24 hours a day and
seven days a week. Therefore, in addition to
academics during school hours, we lay emphasis on a
host of other co-curricular activities like elite
sports (rugby, horse-riding, swimming, golf etc.),
international tours, educational visits, shopping,
interaction with eminent personalities,
participation in exhibitions, and group celebration
of all major religious and cultural functions, yoga,
karate… the list is long.
‘Aim High’ – just two words! That’s all we need our students to aspire and achieve, in whichever field they choose. And for that, we are here to provide all the support they need. Parents who are considering admitting their children here may, without any worry, trust them to our care and we will launch them ready to face the myriad challenges of the competitive world. |
